چکیده

Background: The sickle cell disease condition with hepatic dysfunction shows the abnormal variations in liver function tests including serum aminotransferases enzymes like glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT) and pyruvic (SGPT) levels were changed to discuss their significance disease. Objectives: Studied of SGOT SGPT level variation disease, Pearson’s correlation coefficient SGOT& Material methods: This study was conducted Department Biochemistry, People’s College Medical Sciences Research Centre for Scientific Development (CSRD), University, Bhopal. estimated by Reitman & Frankel’s method diagnosed. Results: In present study, mean standard deviation cases vs. controls showed significant difference it calculated using SPSS software version-24. ± SD vs found 69.98 69.31; 25.17± 5.25 65.28 60.07; 22.72 5.47 respectively. P˂0.000 be statistically highly significant. Correlation positive between enzymes. Conclusion: transaminases significantly increased so could another clinical bio-marker diagnosis Keywords: SGOT; SGPT; correlation;

Automated determination of serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase.

A simplified and precise automated method is described for the colorimetric determination of serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase. The enzymically generated oxaloacetic acid is dialyzed, coupled with Fast Ponceau L, a diazonium salt, to form a colored solution whose absorbance is measured at 455 m . Dialysis eliminates the need for a serum control determination, thereby halving the analysis ...

Serum activity patterns of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase, glutamic pyruvic transaminase and lactic dehydrogenase following graded myocardial infarction in dogs.

Following experimental myocardial infarction in the dog elevations of serum levels of glutamie-oxaloacetic transaminase (SGO-T), glutamic-pyruvic transaminase (SGP-T) and lactic dehydrogenase (SLID) were consistently noted in decreasing order. Evidence is presented that leakage into the serum from the damaged myocardium plays an important role in these elevations. This concept is supported by a...

Automated Determination of Serum Glutamic Oxalacetic and Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase.

The determination of serum glutamic oxalacetic and glutamic pyruvic transaminase has been simplified by the use of automated analysis. The flow diagrams, concentration of reagents, and calculation of the color unit in terms of the Karmen unit are shown for 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine and 6-benzamido-4-methoxy-m -toluidine diazonium chloride as the reacting dyes. Advantages of both methods are co...

An assay and screening procedure for serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase.

SERIJM GLiJTAMIc-oxaloacetic transaminase (Laspartate :2-oxoglutarate amino transf erase, EC 2.6.1.1.), an extensively studied enzyme, is measured in serum for differential diagnosis, prognosis, and the selection of bloods for transfusion. Thus, to prevent hepatitis infection after transfusion, the laboratory measures GOT1 activity in blood of donors. Enhanced activity indicates possible liver ...

Artifactual depression of serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase by metronidazole.

Eighteen patients developed abnormally low serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase values during metronidazole therapy. Metronidazole absorbs at 340 nm, simulating reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, which is the final colorimetric product of the serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase assay.
